Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated 13 August 2026
This policy applies to everyone and forms part of the Developer Terms and the Tester Agreement. Breaking it can cost you your account.
01Everyone
Do not use TestFi to:
- break the law, or help someone else break it
- distribute malware, spyware, or anything designed to damage a device
- infringe someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights
- harass, threaten, or discriminate against another person
- scrape the platform, or access it with automated tools we have not authorised
- probe, disrupt, or try to get around our security or rate limits
- impersonate someone, or misrepresent who you are
- build or train a competing product from what you find here
02Developers: what you may not ask a tester to do
Testers are strangers recording their own screens. A scenario that seems ordinary to you can put their personal data, or someone else's, into a video you will receive. So do not ask a tester to:
- log into their own bank, email, health, or government account
- enter their real card number, national identity number, or passport details
- photograph or record an identity document, or their face where the test does not genuinely need it
- upload their own contacts, photos, or messages
- leave the platform to sign up somewhere, install something unrelated, or contact you privately
- post a review, rating, or install that is intended to manipulate an app store
Do not upload to TestFi:
- an app you do not have the right to distribute
- production credentials, or a build connected to a live database holding real customer data
- content that is illegal where your testers are, or that is sexual, violent, or hateful
You may not use results to identify, contact, profile, or recruit a tester outside the platform, and you may not resell them as a data set.
03Testers: what counts as genuine work
Do not:
- hold more than one account, or take the same test twice
- submit feedback written by an AI tool as though it were your own session
- submit generic praise, padding, or a recording where you did not actually use the app
- share, sell, or trade your account, or take tests on someone else's behalf
- publish screenshots, recordings, or details of an unreleased app you tested
- record other people, or personal data belonging to anyone else
If a scenario asks you to do something in clause 2 that we have prohibited, do not do it. Refuse and report it to contact@testfi.app. You will not lose the slot for refusing, and we would rather hear about it.
04How we enforce this
Depending on what happened we may remove content, hold a payment, suspend an account, or close it. For testers, the process in clause 7 of the Tester Agreement applies: you get the reason, at least 14 days to answer, and a decision by a person. Where a breach is serious, unlawful, or ongoing we may act immediately and explain afterwards.
05Reporting a problem
Email contact@testfi.app with what you saw and a link. For copyright complaints use the DMCA process.
